Director Drew Goddard had a unique idea for the title cards in his film - what if they were inspired by the characters themselves? For each “chapter”, we created a specific design relating to the relevant character. We struck a balance between creating a fun wink of a design element without being too distracting. The Main on End sequence was created by shooting close-ups of Cynthia Erivo’s iconic dress in the film, which was then used as a texture throughout.
